A pair of Spada branded uni-sex riding boots, new for 2021. The Spada Strider Boots model is designed to be protective, practical, comfortable and stylish. They are intended for general riding purposes, including casual and commuting.

Pricing & Sizing - Strider Boots

Spada Strider Boots are available in a range of sizes, from 3.5 to 13. Two colour options are available, either Java or black – each come with matching coloured laces, and white outer soles. All variants cost £69.99.

Here you’ll find a chart to convert your size from the standard UK unit, into the measurement used to order. Personally, I wear a UK size 8, which was equivalent to a size 42, and the boots I ordered fit me ideally. After converting, your day to day shoe size should be the same when ordering a pair of Spada Strider Boots.

Pros

1. Ample Protection – Spada Strider Boots offer reinforced coverage in all the important areas, including the ankles, toes and heels. Around the ankles they are firm, and help to improve the rider’s stability.

2. Super Stylish – This style is brand new for 2021, making it uncommon and unique. The nubuck finish looks incredibly suave. They definitely add a healthy does of attitude to your riding gear!

3. Foot Huggers – It’s unbelievable how cushiony these feel around your feet. The padded interior keeps your feet dry, allows them to breath, and moulds around them to provide a secure fit.

4. Best Of Both Worlds – The design of the Spada Strider Boots makes them suitable for strolling around town, as well as being a practical riding boot. The moulded gear change pads add durability, and protect the boots from becoming shabby, which would make them unsafe and unattractive. Also, the numerous weatherproofing traits make them worthy in varying weather conditions.

Cons

1. Stuck On Sole – Unfortunately, the sole of the Spada Striding Boots is glued on, as opposed to stitched. This just means they are more likely to separate from the boots over time, which can then effect their waterproofing properties and safety qualities.

2. Laced Up – Although this is probably the most popular way to fasten riding boots, it isn’t the safest. Velcro is better, simply because there are no loose bits when fastened properly. A combo of laces and Velcro is the best option, because you can tighten the boot more precisely with the laces, then tuck them away under the Velcro strap, to stop them from flapping around. Saying that, the laces on these boots aren’t excessively long, so there isn’t too much to worry about.

So, what's the verdict?

I don’t think it will come as a surprise that I’m a big fan of the Spada Striding Boots. They’re well-constructed, and provide reliable protection in all the vital areas. Plus, they have the comfort of a cloud around your foot!

Not only do they tick the boxes for safety, practicality and comfort, but they also score huge points in terms of good looks. They’re undoubtedly fashionable, and don’t look ‘clunky’ when you’re not riding. If you’re taking a leisurely ride somewhere you then plan to walk around, these will serve both purposes equally well. With a choice of colours to suit your other riding gear, you can’t really go wrong with a pair of Spada Strider Boots.
