What are we looking at here?
A pair of battery powered, heated Thermo Gloves, manufactured by WarmThru. These gloves are designed to be protective and practical. They are intended for most purposes of riding, including casual, commuting and touring.
Features
Charging - Thermo Gloves
WarmThru Thermo Gloves come with a 3-pin charger, and 2 rechargeable batteries. Before the first use, the batteries should be charged for up to 8 hours, and 5 for charges thereafter. A green LED will indicate when they are charging.
Once charged, the batteries can be connected and stored in a weatherproof, concealed pocket inside each glove.

It is recommended to only use the specified charger with these batteries, and that you ensure they are connected properly. Do not leave them unattended while switched on.
Operating & Power - Thermo Gloves
A light-weight 7.4v lithium-ion polymer battery powers each glove. They each provide 3000mAh, which will last varying lengths of time, depending on which temperature settings are selected.
Carbon fibre heating zones line each individual finger, and a larger panel spans the back of the hand. These can be activated by pushing the button on each separate glove, for 2-3 seconds. A pulsing red LED will show that they have been switched on.

By briefly pressing the same button, one of 3 temperature settings can be chosen. They are signified by different coloured LEDs, and range in temperature as follows:
• High (approx. 55°C) – Red – 3 hours
• Medium (approx. 45°C) – White – 4 hours
• Low (approx. 40°C) – Blue – 6 hours
The gloves are switched off by pressing the button for another 2-3 seconds.
Protection & Practicality - Thermo Gloves
Across the knuckles, there is impact absorbing hard armour, and a reinforced piece of armour protects the outer palm. Each finger is made out of goat leather, which also spans across the upper palm.
These Thermo Gloves are made using HIPORA and Thinsulate materials, which have superior waterproofing, and wind-proofing qualities. They are also well ventilated and breathable, which prevents overheating.

Inner Palm – Armour & Anti-Slip Grip Panel
An anti-slip panel across the upper palm and inner thumb enhances grip. The fabric construct is flexible, and two Velcro straps allow for an adjustable fit across the bottom and top of the wrists.
Washing - Thermo Gloves
Remove both the batteries before washing the Thermo Gloves. They should be hand washed with a sponge or damp cloth, at no more than 30°C. They should not be machine washed, tumble dried, dry cleaned, bleached or ironed. Only reconnect the batteries once the gloves are totally dry.
Sizing & Pricing - Thermo Gloves
WarmThru Thermo Gloves are available in a range of sizes from M to XXL. The sizes tend to be smaller than expected, so if you usually wear an S, an M is recommended. For precise measurements, a sizing chart can found on the WarmThru website. All sizes currently cost £155, and come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty.
Spare batteries, chargers and other heated accessories are also available from the WarmThru website.
Pros
1. Slim Battery – Not only are the LiPo batteries light-weight, but their slimness makes them nonintrusive, and allows the gloves to maintain their flexibility.
2. Strong Weatherproofing – With the HIPORA material used in the construct, and the heat panel on the back, you’re well protected from wind and water. The Thinsulate fabric insulates the heat, but it also grants breathability. As the batteries tuck away conveniently into a weatherproof pouch, these gloves are practical even in the worst weather conditions.
3. Big Buttons – These are spongy and easy to access, which is ideal as you’ll be wearing the gloves when you need to press them.
4. Phone Friendly Fingertip – For gloves that are designed to keep your hands warm, it’s nice to know that you don’t have to take them off to operate your phone.
Cons
1. Too Much Padding – I found the wadding in these gloves to be a bit excessive. They made it difficult to operate my indicator at times, and they felt clumsy. As the gloves are heated anyway, I don’t think all that lining is necessary.
2. Confusing Sizing – It’s definitely worth checking the chart to make sure you order the right size. As they tend to be on the smaller side, you don’t want to order a pair which aren’t going to fit over your hand. I’ve been wearing a pair of XLs, which aren’t much bigger than an M that I would usually wear.
