The Alpinestars Faster 3 Drystar men’s motorcycle boots – women’s version also available. Otherwise classed as riding shoes due to their size and shape, these boots are designed to offer comfort and protection, from both accidental damage and the elements. They are intended for varying riding purposes including casual and commuting, as well as being an all round practical shoe to wear when off the bike.

Pros

2. Not A Drop – The researched and designed Drystar® tech keeps out every bit of water that hits these boots.
3. Warm & Snug – Thick inner lining makes these boots cushy and well padded, especially around the ankle and beneath the instep. This helps to keep the foot warm inside.
4. Multifunctional – Subtle and comfy when walking, great for strolling around town in when you jump off your bike.
5. Solid Footing – A rigid and grooved sole makes your footing feel firm when stopped at a light.
Cons
1. Sizing Issues – Finding the correct size can be difficult with the various sizing charts. I recommend buying a size one half smaller than you usually do – this should do the trick.
2. Low Back End – The rear of the Alpinestars Faster 3 Drystar boot is slanted, and significantly lower than the top of the tongue. This can cause a bit of a draft just above the heel, but not anything a warm pair of socks can’t resolve.
3. No Gear Change Pad – These boots lack protection from excess wear on the toe region, where you change gear. A small reinforced patch could have been included to prevent this.

The Alpinestars Faster 3 Drystar boots offer protection and comfort where they matter most. Reinforced ankle protectors and a strong thermoplastic rubber heel keep the foot shielded, and the advanced Drystar® waterproofing makes these boots suitable for all weather conditions.
In terms of practicality, they are well constructed for performance and pliancy. They feel stable underfoot, yet cushioned inside. I wore my pair of Alpinestars Faster 3 Drystar boots over 1600 miles across France on my first tour, and they never once felt cold, stuffy, too loose or too tight. Now they are the boots I wear on a daily basis, due to them serving every purpose I need them to, exceptionally well.
